General Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions are an agreement between you and Lanta International Language School. By registering as a student with Lanta International Language School, you are agreeing to the following:

Passport, Visas & Formalities

As a student of Lanta International Language School you are responsible for a holding a valid passport and visa. Lanta International Language School will not make any payments for your health care or unforeseen additional travel expenditure. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient medical and travel insurance to cover the duration of your stay.

Course Terms & Conditions

In the event that a course has less than three students, Lanta International Language School reserves the right to reduce each lesson from fifty minutes to thirty minutes. If you are unable to attend a lesson on the student schedule, Lanta International Language School will not arrange for an additional lesson to make-up for the tuition missed.

Course Cancellation, Changes & Refund Policy

The deposit paid when booking a course is non-refundable but may be applied to future courses within in the same calendar year.

The remainder of the course fee is refundable in part or in full under the following conditions:

In full - if cancelled three weeks or more before the intended start date.
Fifty percent - if cancelled between two and three weeks before the intended start date.
Twenty percent - if cancelled within the two-week period leading to the intended start date.

The course fee is completely non-refundable after the course has started.

Refunds will be made within thirty days, to the person or agency that paid. Students who have paid for their tuition through agents must apply to that agency for a refund.

Unusual Circumstances

In the event that the course held at Language International Language School is disrupted by unusual circumstances that Lanta International Language School could not reasonably have foreseen, Lanta International Language School enforces the following policy:

If the unusual event is serious enough to significantly affect the course, Lanta International Language School will try to arrange a suitable alternative where possible. We do not make any refunds in these situations and you will be responsible for any travel costs involved. Lanta International Language School cannot and will not accept any liability whatsoever for the impact of any unusual event, or for any loss, damage, expense or claim of any description that you may suffer as a result.

Complaints Policy

If you have a complaint to make about Lanta International Language School you should lodge your complaint in writing within five working days of the date the incident took place.

Code of Conduct

All students of Lanta International Language School are expected to adhere to proper conduct and listen to the instructions of Lanta International Language School. This covers, but is not limited to; respecting others' cultures and beliefs, respecting the school building, equipment and furnishings, and avoiding drugs and illegal activities. Any student who engages in illegal, improper, or violent behavior will be removed from the course without a refund. All participants will be held responsible for any and all damages they cause and must directly and promptly compensate the owner of the property involved.
